Glen Eden is a West Auckland suburb with a Western Line station a short walk from the shops. From the rooms you get clay roofs, a power pole, and on a clear afternoon a line of Waitākere hill. The street is residential. Utes park. The footpath cracks around the pohutukawa roots.
We are a small overnight place, three storeys, cream boards and a clay hip. If you are driving, watch for the silver hatchbacks that already live on this stretch — 3A is the driveway with the wheelie bin and the ferns.
